Life-Changing Magic: A Journal by Marie Kondo

After reading other's reviews on this journal, I was hesitant to get a copy of this. I wanted a guided journal that would give me ambition and ideas to journal daily. As a person who doesn't remember alot of the time to journal, or to write down blessings, I found that this little journal was perfect for me. It is a three year journal, however, you could write more if you wanted too. I like that it is only a few sentences each day and it's mostly to write down what good (or bad) you had that day that you'd like to remember.  I like the simplicity of the journal. It doesn't beg me to write a full page and its simple to read later on in life, and to look back on year after year to see how time has progressed. I really do like this journal- for the simple- jot it down and get on with your day aspects. There's no thought provoking, you have to simply write what you're thankful for, an idea, a joy, a prayer, or whatever else that comes to mind when you open up these pages and tune in to writing just a few sentences about your day.

Whatever is Lovely

This book is beautiful. Full of inspirational songs and verses from the bible with a context on the back page describing the lyrics or the verse and giving the reader information about the text. The details of the blank spots for coloring are beautiful. Intricate. Amazing. I love this book and when I sit down to color the pages I feel a sense of peace and awe at the define qualities of the book and the serene choices picked for it. I can also feel free to color them with a bolder choice than a colored pencil and hang them in a frame for instant wall art. This book is beautiful and I highly recommend it.

Its the End- but only the Beginning

I feel compelled to share my story with the world; not in hopes of sympathy but, in hopes that some day, someone might see it and know that they too can break the chains they might be in and live a better life.
Here it goes:
I met my husband in 2006, we got married in 2007, we had a baby in 2008.
Fast forward to 2013- through addictions, rehabs, criminal behavior, and cheating I stayed. I didn't believe in divorce, there was some ultimate plan God had for our lives but we just hadn't discovered it yet, I wanted to make it work cause I thought God was telling me to stay.
I moved to Florida to try and yet again repair my marriage- All I got from that Journey was an amazing little man who I named Gabriel- "God is my strength".
Fast again forward to 2015- We were supposed to move to Texas, the 4 of us, and start a new life. The day before we left I found out about the latest affair and he never came to say goodbye. It had been about a month in a half since he saw the boys frown emoticon
The boys and I went to Texas anyway, with promises from "friends" that said life would be so much better but, when things started NOT going the way that THEY had planned my children and I got the boot so now we're back in Illinois and that's fine with me cause God revealed to me that the boys and I need to be near my parents, God reaffirmed this when my dad fell down the stairs last week and ended up in the hospital.
So here's the part I want you all to know. Though not physically abused (with the exception of once or twice), I have been verbally, mentally, and emotionally abused by this man who was supposed to love me forever, for almost 9 years.
My "husband" has found that his new girlfriend makes him the happiest man in the world but, he is still drinking, doing drugs, and has warrants in 2 different states (that we know of). I however, have always known that despite trying to make it work, that God has a definite plan for MY life and MY boys lives. We aren't divorced yet but, we will be, and our marriage is over.
What I want you to know is that this will be a LONG healing process for me- there is many mental thoughts that cause me to not feel good enough and degrade myself and I don't always think that I will overcome this but, I KNOW I will!
There is anger and unforgiveness, and bitterness, mistrust, etc. and quite possibly some PTSD in there too. I did what I thought God wanted and I think all along that strong power voice shouting that it was Okay for me to leave was being ignored by my selfish desire to try and make it work so that I wouldn't have a broken marriage and my kids didn't have to grow up without their dad but, truthfully, he was never really there to begin with and I'm no longer fighting that battle.
Now, I fight the getting myself better battle. The moving on and healing, and continuing to press on raising 2 children.
I want you to know that it's okay. That God isn't going to strike you down dead for leaving a cheating, lying, sinful, husband. He's not going to condemn you to the pits of hell for putting yourself and your children first and getting out of an abusive relationship, he doesn't want that for you.
I hope that you know that you are a work in progress, just like I am, and that God is with you wherever you go- so chin up and be strong, God will never let you go and I am living testimony that he never gives up on his children, no matter how many times you've given up on him, he's always there.

The Healthy Mind Cookbook by Rebecca Katz with Mat Edelson

This book is amazing. The recipes all look so delicious. I have tried a few of these and everyone is amazing. I ordered this book because my family needs to eat healthier. We've found that we don't feel so great after eating certain foods and it is severely diminishing good days on earth, that we have left, so I got this book to try new things. Amazing!
I also really like that in the book they spend pages upon pages telling you what foods are good for what parts of your body. Mind, Depression, weight, heart, eyes, etc. It's almost like the potential for you to make a list of things you want to work on that day, week, month, or year and focus solely on those foods to get you where you need to go. It's a great cookbook, illustrated with pictures and detailed instructions. Good stuff! I give this one 5 smileys.

Doodletopia: Cartoons by Christopher Hart

I absolutely love this book. I am thrilled with it. I searched on some websites before ordering to try and get an idea if its what I thought it was going to be and couldn't find what I was looking for so I went out on a limb ordering it and it FAR exceeds my expectations!!! It has step by step instructions for learning to draw. I will be giving this book to my 7.5 year old who is always trying to learn to draw new things but gets frustrated trying to figure out how to get his imagination image on to paper. This book will be able to guide him in simple, visual, steps that will allow him to take those imagination images and create them into a wonderful piece of art.
This book is also pretty big so there's no squinting to see the words and the visuals are not tiny so the reader/drawer can see the images pretty good.
I give this book 5 smilies!

The Time Chamber

The intensiveness of the lines in this coloring book are amazing. It is definitely a coloring book for the grown up as the fineness of the detail is one that would leave the impatient going crazy. The attention to detail you must have in order to color this book, allows for the person coloring it to relax, fall into the coloring as if escaping from reality. Using colored pencils or fine tipped markers will allow you to fill this book with mesmerizing colors and will keep you busy for hours, lost in the beauty of the pages you create with your tool. The paper is a thicker paper that allows you the option of using fine tipped markers. The pictures are so nice that once you're done with them you will be able to frame your favorites. Over all, I Love this coloring book and can't wait to see what the author comes up with next!

Midori Spring Ceremonial (GOLD) Matcha Green Tea

This stuff is good to drink when you are needing an extra boost of energy. I like to mix it with my fruit juice and shake it up because it gives that extra flavor with the naturalness of the tea. I received this product to review and have lost the item somewhere in my move but, before I lost it I tried it and i'm not usually a tea drinker and I will drink this hot, or in another drink as added flavor too. If you're an avid tea drinker then this is for you, if you're not I suggest that you give it a try and see if you like it because, just like me you might enjoy it. Also, if you don't like teas then mix this powder in with a drink that you do like and it will give you a different flavor while still allowing you to have the extracts from the tea.
